So many thoughts. So little time. Midterms!

Maybe I'll reflect later.

For now I leave you with an awesome song, "Time To Pretend" by MGMT

I'm feelin rough, I'm feelin raw, I'm in the prime of my life.
Let's make some music, make some money, find some models for wives.
I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin, and fuck with the stars.
You man the island and the cocaine and the elegant cars.

This is our decision to live fast and die young.
We've got the vision, now let's have some fun.
Yeah it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

Forget about our mothers and our friends.
We were fated to pretend.

I'll miss the playgrounds and the animals and digging up worms.
I'll miss the comfort of my mother and the weight of the world.
I'll miss my sister, miss my father, miss my dog and my home.
Yeah I'll miss the boredom and the freedom and the time spent alone.

But there is really nothing, nothing we can do.
Love must be forgotten. Life can always start up anew.
The models will have children, we'll get a divorce,
We'll find some more models, Everything must run its course.

We'll choke on our vomit and that will be the end.
We were fated to pretend.

yeah yeah yeah

'Cause Mrs. Clause is gonna sue my ass ...

My new favorite Christmas song:

(Ho, ho, ho...Play it Grandpa...Yeah, play it...Let's tell them a little story
about what happened this Christmas.... Yeah, tell them... tell 'em 'bout
Christmas)

Christmas Eve, I didn't get much sleep
I kept hearing things, heavy breathing from the chimney
Who could it be?

(I'll tell you what it was... What happened then, Ben?... Yeah, what
happened?... Well, I went back to sleep... You went back to sleep? Back to
sleep? Shit... Tired man, went back to sleep)

And in the morning, I couldn't believe my eyes
A whale of a corpe with a long white beard
Was dangling over the fire

oh, Santa he's a big fat fuck
Went down the chimney got his fat ass stuck
Oh, honey, call the lawyers fast
'Cause Mrs. Clause is gonna sue my ass
hey, hey, hey

(Ok grandpa, step up, sing in this thing right here, tell 'em what you saw,
tell 'em what you saw grandpa)

I gotta tell you folks,
He wasn't wearin no clothes
He musta rubbed a whole gallon of Crisco oil
from his back down to his toes
While I was talking to the cops outside
The dog was lickin Crisco off of his thighs
They hauled him away in a double-wide
What a sad, sad way to die
Hey, hey, hey

Santa, he's a big, fat fuck
went down the chimney, got his fat ass
oh, honey call the lawyers fast,
Mrs. Claus is gonna sue our ass

So I have internet access at Governor's School??

Oh, and totally unrelated to Governor's School ... but watch Dreamgirls and Run Lola Run. Both are excellent.

And Jesus Is Magic was pretty good too.
For Kids Who Can't Afford Heroin
So, we've been out of school for a little bit more than a week. It feels like three months. In a good way. I've done something every day, and it's been lots of good x's.

But it's good that I'm getting all the fun in now, because I'm leaving for Governor's School on Sunday, and I won't be back until July 28. Then I come back and go to North Carolina on August 3 and get back on August 12. Then I have two weeks and then it's band camp. Then there's a bit more than a week, and then it's school.

Throw in two books, three essays, and a French project to that.

But I'll get it all done and manage to have fun too. At least this first week has been BALLIN'.

I'm out, cause I'm going up to Yale tomorrow.

Peace out boy scouts.

LYRICS QUIZ!!

1. Hello, how are you?
Like your shoes,
Love your hair.

2. I see your face
With every punch I take,
And every bone I break -
It's all for you

3. Sometimes people leave you,
Halfway through the wood
Others may decieve you,
You decide what's good.

4. When you're in black slacks
With accentuating off-white pinstripes
Woah-oh
Everything goes according to plan

5. She don't srew my friends
And she cleans up my house
All of this love, girl
Is creeping me out

6. But I got to get me out of here
This place is full of dirty old men
And the navigators with their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugarcubes

7. Pulling petals off a flower trying to get your way.
Keep pulling til' it says what you want to say.
Girl, you can pick a field full of daisies,
But he'd still be my baby.

8. We took a back road, we’re gonna look at the stars
We took a back road in my car
Down to the ocean, it’s only water and sand
And in the ocean, we’ll hold hands

9. Got a man in Japan
Who I do in Tahiti
Beleive me, sweetie
I got enough to feed the needy

10. Now they’ll walk on my arm through the distant night
And I won’t let them stray from my heart
Through the wind, through the dark, through the winter light
I will read all their dreams to the stars

... and Extra Credit:

"Let's get this party on, hit me with laser gun!"

Enjoy.

It was so nice today! I love warm weather! (and pizza and ice cream!)

So, the Kollege Kwest continues this weekend, when the Smillie clan goes down to look at Swarthmore and Princeton. And then I think Villanova and Yale will be visited sometime soon as well.

Sweet deal.

I love warm days.
So much.

All I really need is the warm sun and a cool summer night, catchy music with a good beat, Joe's trampoline or the beach, and the freedom.

86 days.

And it's not like I'm fed up with school or anything; I just really want it to be summer. But I can wait.

And wait I shall.

Well the truth is as dirty as lies ...

This weekend, my parents and I made our official list of schools for us to look at. There are a little less than forty schools on our list, and we're going to narrow it down to about a quarter of that size.

The schools. )

Spring break we're going down to Washington to check out schools down there.

I'm really excited about this whole process. I know it's going to be fun and wind up good in the end.

Promise I'll never let you go ...

10. I think thank you just about sums everything up. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You Are A Cypress Tree

You are strong, adaptable, and striving to be content.
You're good at taking what life has to give - even if you don't like it.
A passionate lover who can't be satisfied, you are quick tempered at times.
You hate loneliness, want love and affection, and need to be needed.
A bit of a live wire, you love to gain knowledge any cost... and you can be careless at times.

Really happy today.

Class rank.

Number 1. 4.62 GPA =)

Ecstatic.

Dad and Dan are at a Nets game and are sitting 15 rows behind Jay-Z. They're gonna try to get his autograph and find Beyonce. lol.

Dilemma. I have a new St. Patrick's Day shirt. Should I wear it tomorrow, or on the actual St. Patrick's Day even though it's a Saturday? Hmmm .... I also have one other one that I don't really like. I can wear that on the other day. lol I'm a loser.
